Nicholas Arsen Sherevan

Nicholas Arsen "Coach Nick" Sherevan on April 12, 2025, at the age of 70. He leaves behind a legacy of love, mentorship, and unwavering dedication that will resonate for generations to come. Nick was a devoted husband to Lisa Staniszewski, a loving father to Heather Simms (Rick), Nicole Gillette (Ross), and the late Kristen Sherevan, and a cherished stepfather to Victoria Nikollaj, Angelina Wessel (Evan), Jillian Nikollaj, and Gjon Nikollaj. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Isabella, Sophia, Owen, Niko, Ajvy, and Liljana – his beloved “Papa Nick’s” little ones. He was also a dear son to the late Nicholas Sherevan (June), Shirley Loftus and Aunt Annie Sveda who he loved & adored and looked to as a mother. A loving brother to Yvonne Sherevan, Cynthia Hodge, Karen Reigart (Brian), Sheila Harmon (Warren), Sherry Wells, Laura Wells and the late Harry Wells. His best friend of 50+ years Larry Lavigne, and several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Nick's impact extended far beyond his immediate family. He was a visionary leader and mentor, inspiring countless individuals throughout his life. From his contributions at St. Anne’s to his founding role in the Eastside Eagles football and cheer program, Coach Nick touched the lives of so many young people. He fostered their growth, not only in athletics, but also in character and life skills. His commitment was unwavering; he rarely missed a graduation, a birthday, or any significant event for those whose lives he helped shape. His presence was a constant source of support and encouragement. Coach Nick’s dedication was truly remarkable. He selflessly poured his heart and soul into his family, his friends, and the youth he mentored. His memory will serve as a guiding light for us all. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., located at 36900 Schoenherr Road at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 24th, at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 32000 Mound Road (south of 14 Mile), Warren. Instate visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
