Nick Lucido

Nicholas (Nick) Lucido (12/16/56) Passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy, with whom he enjoyed 42 years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful family with their two sons, Christian (Francesca) and Michael (Joan). Nick’s greatest joy was being “Papa” to his four beautiful grandchildren, Gianna, Dominic, Levi and Nina. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Providence and his brother, Joe (Sandy). Nick also leaves behind his loving siblings Noralisa Ferlito (Tony) and Alex (Teresa). He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and customers. For more than four decades, Nick owned and operated Nick Lucido Wholesale Produce, Co., a business built on honesty, hard work and service. Nick treated every customer like family, often anticipating their needs before they even knew them – famously showing up with an item they forgot to order, saying with a smile, “I thought you might need this.” Nick’s kindness and respect for others were hallmarks of his life. Always with a smile, he never met a stranger, never turned away from a friend in need, and never failed to bring joy to those around him. His generosity of spirit, easy going humor, and dedication to doing the right thing will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Nick’s legacy is one of love, loyalty and laughter – and he will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and the countless people whose lives he touched. Nick’s life will be celebrated with visitation Wednesday 3-8pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). He will lie in state Thursday 9:30 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church (19950 Morningside Dr. Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236) until the 10:00 am funeral Mass. Private Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
