Matthew Wayne Snarski

Matthew Snarski (44), of Saint Clair Shores passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 12th, 2024 after a long history of health complications. Matt was born on March 31,1979 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, Anthony and Ellaina. Matt met his wife, Shannon, when they were just 15 & 17 years old. They spent over 20 years happily married and raised 2 beautiful children together, Aidan (19) and Gavin (16). Matt will be remembered for his love and dedication to all of his family and friends, especially his wife, their 2 sons and the family dog, Sheldon. Matt was always willing to help and would do anything for just about anyone. He was witty and always sarcastic. Matt worked as a plumber for over 25 years, his hard work and dedication to providing a life for his family that he could be proud of was unmatched. Matt loved to cook, cooking was his love language. He loved to make people happy through his food, especially his famous chocolate chip cookies and calamari. Matt’s favorite place to be, other than at home with his family, was his parents home in Lewiston, MI, where he loved to take the family out on the boat, fish (usually unsuccessfully), cook, and have bonfires. It truly was his home away from home. Some of Matt’s favorite things to do were, listening to music, playing euchre, watching Gavin play hockey, and hearing about Aidan’s college life, he was so proud of both of them. His favorite title, after husband and dad, was uncle to his 2 nieces and nephew. Matt was the loving husband and father of Shannon, Aidan and Gavin Snarski. Beloved son of Anthony and Ellaina Snarski. Son in law of Richard and Linda Carless. Brother to Andrew & Teresa Snarski, Lana Snarski & Scott Ingles, Adam & Nicole Carless. Amazing uncle to Angela, Ava and Oliver. Matt also leaves behind several, aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends (“framily”). Visitation Tuesday, January 16th, 3-8pm. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 11am on Wednesday at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons. 36900 Schoenherr Rd. at Metro Parkway (16 Mile).
