Louis Ernest Mioduszewski

MIODUSZEWSKI, Louis, age 79. of Washington, Michigan, sadly passed away on July 1, 2026. Son of Louis F. and Irene Mioduszewski and brother of Michael (Betty) Mioduszewski, Karen Leal, and James (Joan) Mioduszewski. After graduating from Detroit Catholic Central High School in 1965, he committed to university studies of Fire Science earning a masters degree from Eastern Michigan University. Louis dedicated his life to service, retiring as a Fire Captain for the city of Fraser, Michigan, and Director of Emergency Management for Macomb County. He valued integrity and hard work, and he dedicated his life to his community as a firefighter and public servant. Louis loved his wife and family most of all, and together they made a life filled with love and laughter. Louis and his wife spent most of their summers at their cottage in Baldwin, Michigan, and enjoyed traveling the world together. Louis enjoyed golfing with his friends, hunting, and playing competitive games. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret (Stark) Mioduszewski, his children, Brian (Lana) Mioduszewski, Charlene Barla, Paul (Dana) Mioduszewski, his grandchildren, Aaron (Kelsey) Barla, Lauren (Ben) Stewart, Joel Barla, Sam Mioduszewski, Mia Mioduszewski, Justine (Zachery) Panning, and Emma Mioduszewski, and his great grandchildren, Scout, Wyatt, and Isaiah. Please join us in celebrating his life at a memorial visitation on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm, at Wujek-Calcaterra Funeral Home in Shelby Township, Michigan, with a Rosary Service at 7:00pm. The funeral mass will be at St. Kieran Catholic Church on Monday, July 13, 2026 at noon with his ashes instate beginning at 11:30am.
