Jeffrey Allen Kaspari

Jeffrey Allen Kaspari, 58, of Troy, MI passed away on March 23, 2026 with his cherished wife and treasured siblings and nephew surrounding him. He was thrown into a fast and furious battle with pancreatic cancer that started on January 31st. When problems arose in life, Jeff would always say, “give us this day our daily bread.” He trusted God with each day and didn’t worry into the future. That’s how he went through this battle. Jeff was born in Detroit and grew up in Almont, Michigan. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan where he met his wife, Mindy. They were married for the best 31 years anyone could dream of. He earned his master’s degree from Wayne State University and he taught Spanish at Lakeview High School in St. Clair Shores. He was an assistant coach for the track and cross-country teams for several years. Jeff enjoyed reading and made it one of his goals to complete as many book lists as possible including “The BBC Believes You Only Read 6 of These Books.” He enjoyed etymology, the study of the origin of words and how their meanings have changed throughout history. He spent time learning French for fun and enjoyed learning words and phrases from the many languages that our friends spoke including American Sign Language. Jeff was fun and brought fun to every situation whether it was family get togethers, time with friends, or his classroom. He managed to make people smile wherever he was from the grocery store, to the ER, to the chemo treatment center. Jeff valued others and showed them love through his genuine interest in them. Jeff is survived by his cherished wife Melinda, his treasured siblings Daniel (Amber), Michelle (Patrick), and Matthew (Tina). He was a loving uncle to Curran, William, Annabel, Alex, Brittany, Benjamin, Bailey, Belle, Brendan, Brady, Josiah and Jacob. He was a devoted brother-in-law to Missy and Chelle (Russ) and a loving son to the late Daniel and the late Elizabeth Kaspari. There will be a visitation on Friday, March 27 from 3-9 pm and the funeral service will be on Saturday, March 28 at 10 am at Wujek-Calcaterra and Sons, 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Road).
