Felicia Kokas

Felicia Kokas gently and painlessly passed away in her home at the age of 84 on June 2, 2025 surrounded by all of her children. Beloved wife of Dean (now deceased), her beautiful and devoted husband for 60 years. Her noble legacy will continue to live through her children. Loving mother of Linda (Alex) Boosalis, Mary (Ted) Tangalos, and Nicholas (Anna) Kokas. Adored, precious, and proud grandmother of Felicia Boosalis, Alexis, Dean, and Philip Tangalos, and Constantine and Ari Kokas. Affectionate daughter of Andonios and Maria Hatziantoniou (both deceased) in Greece. Loving sister of Yiannis and Filitsa Hatziantoniou (both deceased) in Greece, Angeliki (Stefanos) Karayiannopoulos in Greece, and Rena (Fori) Tzella in Greece. Admiring aunt to many nieces and nephews here and in Greece. Dear friend and cousin to many here, in Florida, and in Greece. Felicia arrived in America in November 1964 as Dean’s sweet 26 year-old bride. She transitioned to a new language, a new culture, and to a new way of life with great courage, generosity, and honor. She was a quiet champion for what was right and just for people, all based on her faith and love for God and his church. She was an exceptional homemaker. Her culinary expertise, her love for needlepointing, knitting, art, music, especially church hymns, were all passed down to her children and grandchildren. She did it all and did her best. Wherever she went, she took her children also. She was the epitome of a love letter to motherhood. She was Dean’s best friend, soul mate, and the love of his life. She is now resting peacefully in the loving arms of God. She will be lovingly missed. Visitation Friday 4-8:30pm with a 7:30pm Trisagion Prayer Service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Funeral Saturday Instate 11am at St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 11455 Metro Pkwy, until time of Funeral Liturgy 12pm. Interment Guardian Angel Cemetery.
