Anna (DiCicco) Brasile September 18, 1934 – June 26, 2026 With profound love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Anna Brasile (née DiCicco), who entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family. Anna was born on September 18, 1934, in Pacentro, Italy, to her beloved parents, Cesare and Marianna DiCicco (née Rubino), who preceded her in death. In 1951, she courageously immigrated to the United States, carrying with her the rich traditions, unwavering faith, and strong family values that would become the foundation of her life. Anna was the devoted wife of the late Salvatore Brasile, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, faith, and family. Together they built a home where everyone was welcomed, laughter was abundant, and no one ever left hungry. She was the cherished mother of Rose Ann Brasile, Mary Ann Skowronski (the late Dr. Raymond Skowronski Jr.), Diana (Dino) Calibeo, and Daniel (Debbi) Brasile. She was an unwavering source of love, guidance, and strength, always placing her family before herself. Anna was a proud and devoted Nonna to Dr. Deanna Skowronski, Cristina (Daniel) Bologna, Dr. Bianca (Dr. Nicholas) Goza, Anthony (Kathryn) Calibeo, and Raymond III Skowronski (fiancée Elizabeth Aliotta). She adored every moment spent with her grandchildren, celebrating each milestone and filling their lives with unconditional love. To her great-grandchildren—Vincenzo, Ambrose, Rocco, Marcello, Amelia, and Salvatore—she was affectionately known as "Nonna Cookie," a name that perfectly captured the warmth, sweetness, and joy she brought to their lives. They will forever remember the endless supply of homemade cookies waiting just for them and the unconditional love that accompanied every visit. Anna was also overjoyed by the anticipation of welcoming two more great-granddaughters into her family, and although she did not have the opportunity to meet them, they will forever be a cherished part of her enduring legacy and the love she so generously gave to her growing family. Anna was also the loving sister of Giuseppe (Nancy) DiCicco, the late Antonio (Nancy) DiCicco, the late Raffaele DiCicco, and the late Anna DiCicco. She treasured the close bond she shared with her siblings and extended family throughout her life, holding them close to her heart. She is also lovingly survived by many cherished nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Proud beyond words of her Italian heritage, Anna made certain that the traditions of her homeland lived on through her family. Her kitchen was truly the heart of her home. There was always a place at her table, whether you were family, a friend, or someone who simply needed a meal. It was not uncommon to find her baking, rolling out pounds of homemade pasta and gnocchi, preparing trays of lasagna and cannelloni, or filling the house with the aroma of her famous cookies. Her grandchildren could never get enough of her beloved "choker cookies," and holidays simply weren't complete without dozens of loaves of her treasured Easter bread and mountains of homemade Pignolata lovingly prepared and shared with family and friends. Her refrigerator was always full, her coffee pot was always on, and she was forever ready to entertain. Hosting family dinners brought her tremendous joy, and she believed that life's greatest conversations happened around the dinner table. Through every meal she prepared, Anna expressed her love in the most meaningful way she knew—bringing people together. Anna was known for her beautiful smile that could light up any room, her generous spirit, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. She enjoyed spending time with her many dear friends, creating lasting memories through laughter, gatherings, and countless adventures together. Above all else, Anna's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. She loved her children unconditionally and would do absolutely anything for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her faith guided every aspect of her life, inspiring her to serve others with humility, compassion, and generosity. She was always the first to help someone in need, never expecting anything in return. Anna was truly the matriarch of her family. Her strength, kindness, resilience, and unwavering love created a legacy that will continue for generations. She taught her family the importance of faith, hard work, generosity, and always making room for one more at the table. Although her family mourns her loss, they find comfort in knowing she has been reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Salvatore; her parents, Cesare and Marianna; her brothers, Antonio and Raffaele DiCicco; her sister, Anna DiCicco; and her beloved son-in-law, Dr. Raymond Skowronski Jr. Anna's legacy lives on in every family meal shared, every treasured recipe prepared, every holiday tradition celebrated, and every act of kindness inspired by her example. Her love was the foundation of her family, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
