GRILLO, Angelo. April 1, 2025. Age 80. Beloved husband of 56 years survived by his wife Pat (LoIacono-LaFata). Loving father of Jerry (Lindsay), Maria, Melissa (Joe) and Cristina. Proud and adored grandfather of 12; Angelo, Olivia, Ava, Asia, Vanessa, Valentina, Robert, Angelina, Victoria, Veronica, Isabella and Bianca. Dearest brother of Antonino, Andrea, Sebastiano, Grace, Joe, the late Sister Maria Provvidenza, the late Elizabetta, the late Anna, the late Domenico, the late Bartolo and the late Sam. Predeceased by his parents Girolamo and Provvidenza. Angelo Grillo is the epitome of the American Dream. He was born in Terrasini, Sicily, and moved to America at 15 years old with passionate goals. He went on to build a remarkable life for himself through many ventures. Being a visionary entrepreneur, he embarked on what later would become known as B&A Structural Steel. This dream began in a garage and with his hard work, determination, and unwavering commitment Angelo grew his dream into a thriving business. He employed countless individuals and provided a fruitful life and future for his family. His legacy in the steel industry is a testament to his tireless efforts and dedication. Angelo continued making strides for 55+ years in the construction industry. He later developed several other successful projects some including Villa Bella Retirement Community and Grillo Companies. In 2018, Angelo was honored with the notable “Humanitarian of the Year” award by the State of Michigan. Though Angelo was a highly successful business man cementing himself as a legend in Macomb county, his true passion was family. While continuing his hard work in his company developments, he met the love of his life, Pat. This made his biggest dream come true, by creating a family full of love and compassion. Angelo’s picture perfect days included spending time on Sunday afternoons in the home he built for his family and to enjoy his wife’s wonderful cooking. He would invite all of his extended family over for swimming, bocce, and playing cards. Along with this, Angelo enjoyed soccer, golf, and going out to his favorite restaurants. Angelo taught the true meaning of family and the importance of it. He was the best Husband, Father, Nonno, Brother, Zio, and friend. Angelo passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his entire family. His legacy will pass through his family, friends, and anyone who had the privilege to be in his presence. Visitation Wednesday 3-8pm with a 7pm Scripture Service at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., (Shelby) 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. Instate Thursday from 10am until time of 11am Mass at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 54045 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Charter Township, MI 48315.
