AGOSTA, ANASTASIA Age 90 February 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Teri Agosta, Anita (Greg) Beaman & Sharon ( Mike) Grimm. Proud busha of David and Danielle. Dearest sister of the late Barbara (the late Fred) Severini & the late Tom (Phyllis) Dutkiewicz. Anastasia was born on March 14, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of Frank and Clara Dutkiewicz and the middle child in a close-knit family. From an early age, her life was steeped in faith and service—values that would guide her every step. She attended the Church of Transfiguration and later graduated from Girls Catholic Central High School, setting the stage for a lifetime dedicated to helping others. Shortly after graduation, she began volunteering as a Junior Hostess with the USO, offering comfort and support to soldiers on leave during challenging times. In the early 1950s, she met the love of her life, John, and in 1955 they were married, beginning a journey filled with love, growth, and service. During those early years, she worked for Prudential and the US Census Bureau until the arrival of her first child led her to embrace the role of a devoted mother. Even while raising three daughters, her heart for service never waned. She lent her time and energy to numerous causes—volunteering at the Eleanor Ford Estate, Gilda’s House, a Montessori preschool in Detroit, and teaching religious education at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Alongside these commitments, she worked downtown as an administrator for William Mercer Insurance Company, exemplifying a remarkable blend of professional diligence and compassionate community involvement. Her later years were no less vibrant. A dedicated member of St. John and Paul’s Church, she spent much of her time tending the gardens, bringing communion to the sick, and offering help wherever it was needed. Affectionately known as the “church mouse,” her gentle spirit and tireless service left an indelible mark on her community. She also cherished every moment spent with her two grandchildren, who adored her and found endless joy in her company. Her legacy is one of kindness, perseverance, and unwavering faith. She blessed everyone around her with her generosity and her readiness to serve. Though she has departed from this world, the love she shared and the lives she touched will be remembered forever. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her."
