Zina Karadimas

Zina “Z” (Chrisopoulos) Karadimas was born on August 11, 1947 on the beautiful Greek island of Rhodes. She passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2023. Zina is survived by Ted Kithas, her loving partner of 20 years. Her children Leonard (Laura) Karadimas, Christina (Atul) Karadimas-Gupta, and Dino (Liana) Karadimas. Her brother Alexander Chrisopoulos. She was a proud and doting Yiayia of Alexandra Karadimas, Tommy Karadimas, Pantelis Hapipis, Stefano Hapipis, Angelina Karadimas and Costa Karadimas. Zina was preceded in death by her parents Christina Chrisopoulos and Dino Chrisopoulos as well as her children’s father Thomas Karadimas. She was the matriarch of her family and her passion was to make certain the entire family was well taken care of and loved. She praised her children and her grandchildren and shared their accomplishments with everyone that crossed her path. She had the biggest heart and was loved by every single person who had the privilege of meeting and knowing her. Her home was a comforting and inviting sanctuary where all her friends and family were welcomed. She was well known for her tiropita, spanakopita, and koulourakia as well as many other traditional Greek foods. We all know her food was made with love and passion. She would share this love and passion of her food with family, friends, and multiple acquaintances to include attendees of her grandchildren's sporting events. She spent several days preparing food for her beloved local Greek Orthodox Church events. Feeding and nurturing others was her way of life. The loss of Zina has made shockwaves among family, friends, and the entire Greek community she loved. She will be tremendously missed but we know she would want everyone to move on with fond memories of her as the loving, compassionate, giving, and selfless person that she was. She will be greatly missed and always remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3-8pm with a 6pm Trisagion at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., 36900 Schoenherr Rd. at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate will be Monday 10am followed by Service at 11AM, at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 39851 Five Mile Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170.
