William Thomas Clark

Clark, William Thomas. Age 93. December 29, 2023. Predeceased by his first wife Jane Louise Stern and second wife Betty Lou Clark. Loving father of Leslie, Jeff (Kathleen), Tracy (Nabi) LaHooti, and Lyndsay (Coby Schultz). Proud and loving grandfather of Elizabeth (Patrick Reynolds, Jahmee (Luna), Courtney (Michael Kasa), Jillian, Ceilidh, Garth and Oren and great-grandfather of Helena, Sorrel, Azalea, Fiona, Fern, Jackson, Henry, Andrew, Lucas, Mason and Hayley He will also be missed by Betty's daughter Sarah (Rocky Polesei), and grandsons Rocky (Melissa) and Michael (Heather) and 6 great grandchildren. Looking through our Dad's high school yearbook we see that he listed swimming, camping and radio building as his favorite activities. Swimming was especially fun for Dad at the Oakhill Beach Club on Cass Lake because that's where he met our mother! But there's a lot more to add to that list now. Add photography, world travel, birding, scuba diving, golf, skiing, bowling, puzzles, dancing, singing, apple pie baking, marathon running and Meal's on Wheels volunteer extraordinaire! He was a member of the Mt. Clemens Ski Cub, the Audubon Society and Knox Presbyterian Church. He really did it all! He even earned a Bachelor's Degree from Oakland University after 40 years of military and civilian service. Our Dad was a kind person who displayed the mechanical genius typical of his generation. Hence the phrase "Daddy Fix!!" that so often came from his children lamenting about something that broke. Bill was a career Air Force electrician. We traveled together as a family to all the places the Air Force took us. Canada (twice) California, Vermont, North Dakota, Massachusetts, Germany and finally home to Michigan. He took advantage of all the opportunities presented and ours was a unique childhood because of that. Dad and Betty loved to travel. They stayed at Youth Hostels and saved their frequent flyer points to travel to China, Australia, the Bahamas, New Zealand, Europe, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, Hawaii and all over the United States. Dad spent the last three years at Story Point apartments where he made friends with so many wonderful people. He participated fully in every club and social events offered and volunteered where ever he could. He will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune of knowing him. He lived life to the fullest and is an example for us all. Visitation Friday, January 5, 2023 from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00am at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons (54880 Van Dyke Shelby Township).
