Soon after she joined as one of the “Rosie the Riveters”, during WWII, manufacturing airplane parts then was promoted to inspector for Briggs Manufacturing Company, Detroit, Mich. From there she secured a new job with Woodall Industries Inc, Detroit, Mich. working on aircraft. In February of 1947, Virginia married Leo and went on to become a mother of four children. She was a dedicated homemaker and was an active member in her church alter society. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, crocheting, sewing, and traveling with family.
