Theodore Anthony Jackson

Theodore "Ted" Anthony Jackson, 87, was born May 7, 1928 to Katherine (Bendena) Jackson and Michael "Mitchell" Jackson (aka Yacyshun). He lost his courageous fight to severe pulmonary hypertension on February 29, 2016. He was a devoted husband of 65 years to Nancy (nee Boyce) and loving father to Sandra Hepner, Debra (Al) Aceves, David (Denise) Jackson and Mark. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jason (Andrea) Hepner, Bryan (Heather) Hepner, Sarah (Scott) Laudan, Lindi (Paulo) Perkins, Kelli Jackson, Jonathan Jackson, Carly Aceves, Brennan Aceves and Jonathan Aceves. In addition he was blessed with great-grandchildren Jesse Hepner, Alex Hepner, Gianna Jackson, Mackenzie Laudan, Caleb Laudan, Mia Laudan, Caitlyn Hepner, and Ethan Hepner, and many nieces & nephews. Preceding him in death were dear son Mark Jackson, and siblings Robert, Albert, and Geraldine Laczek.Ted was drafted and served proudly in the US Army, stationed in Germany from 1950-1952. Prior to his discharge, he married Nancy on March 27, 1951. He then attended Lawrence Institute of Technology under the G.I. Bill an earned a degree in engineering, which he parlayed into a life-long career in engineering and design. Throughout his illustrious career employed most notably with Holly Carburetor, Square D, and ultimately Cadillac Gage (aka Textron). He traveled to 51 countries and was granted 10 patents for his engineering designs. He was a perfectionist who earned the respect of all who worked with him and was an inspiration to his son and 3 grandchildren who followed in his footsteps to become engineers. Ted was also a lifetime member of the Elks Club, VFW, and American Legion. His knowledge and skillset made him the go-to guy for everyone in the family. He kept the Jackson/Hepner/Boyce machine running at top form and his input will be sorely missed. Upon his retirement in 1990, Ted and Nancy enjoyed travel abroad, wintering in Florida, casino recreation, sharing time with the family and friends and most of all, the ever satisfying frustration of golf-- finally attaining the elusive "hole in one".
