Rosalia Haviaras

Rosalia Haviaras, a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, at the age of 84. She spent her final moments in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Rosalia was the beloved wife of Emanuel Haviaras, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. She was the cherished mother of Jean (the late Nick) Roukounakis and Mike (Nicki) Haviaras; loving grandmother of Niko (Kristie), Anna, Rosa, Christopher, and Alexander; and proud great-grandmother of Nick. She was the dear sister of George, Ilias, Pavlos, Frank, and the late Maria. Rosalia was devoted to her family and her faith, always putting both at the center of her life. Her kindness, compassion, and generous heart had a special way of making those around her feel loved, cared for, and always at home. She gave freely of herself and found her greatest happiness in caring for the people she loved. One of Rosalia’s greatest joys was gardening. She found peace and happiness among her flowers and took great pride in nurturing them from tiny seeds into beautiful, full blooms. Her garden was a reflection of the way she lived her life with patience, tenderness, and love. Just as she lovingly tended to her flowers, she nurtured her family and those around her, helping them grow and surrounding them with warmth and care. Rosalia will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her deep faith, her gentle spirit, and the kindness she shared so freely with others. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her beautiful legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and all whose lives she touched. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved. May her memory be eternal. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 3-8pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (Shelby Township). Instate 10am until the time of Service 11am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church 760 W Wattles Rd, Troy, MI 48098 on Friday, September 18, 2026.
