Paul Anthony Zambelli

ZAMBELLI, PAUL A. passed away June 17, 2026 at the age of 74 surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, devotion, and cherished traditions. Paul was the beloved husband of Carol, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Together they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, family, and countless memories. Whether they were attending a theater performance, traveling together, or spending time in their favorite place, Siesta Key, Paul and Carol enjoyed every moment side by side. Siesta Key was Paul’s happy place. He looked forward to every visit, especially when getting to stop for ice cream at Orange Octopus and enjoying bike rides under the Florida sun. At home, he could often be found working in the yard tending to his landscaping, or in his early years, tinkering with his beloved blue 1969 Camaro. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during his military service. He carried that same sense of dedication and pride throughout his life. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Paul loved both playing and watching sports. He was an accomplished bowler who achieved the rare feat of rolling two perfect 300 games and a remarkable 299 game. He also enjoyed golfing, biking, and spending time outdoors. Family was the center of Paul’s world. Nothing made him happier than a house full of family, laughter, and activity. He treasured traditions and looked forward to them every year. Christmas Day meant making polenta, Good Friday meant ravioli, Easter meant being the egg hunt banker, and the Fourth of July meant firing up the grill and cooking burgers for everyone before the firework show started over the lake. Paul’s one and only daughter, Shauna, was his pride and joy. He never missed an opportunity to support her, whether it was attending dance competitions, participating in parent dances at Suzette’s, or simply celebrating her accomplishments. As a grandfather, Paul found even greater joy. He loved watching his grandson, Gibson, play baseball and cheering on his granddaughter, Pearl, as she danced. His grandchildren brought him endless happiness, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Those who knew Paul will remember his playful spirit, quick wit, and signature sarcasm. He had a way of making people laugh, keeping everyone on their toes, and making every gathering more enjoyable. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family created memories that will be treasured forever. Paul leaves behind his beloved wife, Carol. Loving father of Shauna (Chris) Oliverio. Proud Papa of Pearl and Gibson. Dearest brother of Sue (Don) Rogers, Michael (Denise) Zambelli, Juli (Tom) Schleicher, and John (Marianna) Zambelli and the many family members and friends who were blessed to know and love him. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the traditions he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 22nd, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (SHELBY TOWNSHIP). Funeral on Tuesday, June 23rd with a time of visitation from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:00am at Kensington Church,1825 E Square Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48085. A Memorial Luncheon will follow. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 22nd, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (SHELBY TOWNSHIP).
