KOTELNICKI, Patricia L. (nee McPhee). September 13, 2026. Beloved wife of the late John Kotelnicki. Dearest mother of Mary Beth Armbruster, Jeff (Jennifer) Kotelnicki, Jill (John) Carr and the late Jacqueline Finn. Loving grandmother of Brieanna, Emily (Phil), Casey, Jack, Allison, Shannon, Shane and Olivia. Proud and loving great-grandmother of Beau. Cherished sister of the late Edward (Molly) McPhee and the late Martha (Ken) Ellis. Patricia was born to John and Effie McPhee on July 28th, 1939. She grew up in Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania and was the youngest of three. She was introduced to John through her friend and began dating. They got engaged on Christmas in 1959 and married shortly after on February 20th, 1960. Once married they moved to Michigan and started their family. Patrica was the mother to 4 children and she loved her family more than anything. She was a stay at home mom and was very involved in school activities, whether it be volunteering for field trips or helping with Cavaliers or being a library mom. Once her kids were grown, she worked at Millers Orchard in the bakery and loved it. She worked there for about 6 years and then devoted her time to her 8 grandkids. From babysitting to sporting events to concerts and plays and everything in between, she didn’t miss a thing. Patricia was a proud member of the All Saints PNCC and volunteered each week to clean the church. Patricia looked forward to visiting Frankenmuth and Shipshewana each year with friends. In recent years, she went on a couple weekend trips to Caseville and St. Clair with her daughters. Patricia loved to bake, read, browse on the iPad, and watch Hallmark movies. She also loved to go out to eat, whether it was White Horse Inn or Coney Island, she didn’t care as long as she had a Diet Coke. To know Patricia would be to know her family because they were her most prized accomplishment. She was so proud of each and every one of her kids, her daughter in-law and son in-laws, her grandkids and her great grandson. Pat and John were happily married for 64 years until his passing. She was a wonderful, strong, caring woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be incredibly missed. A memorial gathering will be held Wednsday September 23, 2026 from 9am until time of the 10am Memorial Mass at All Saints Polish National Church, 5555 17 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48310. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Patricia's name are appreciated.
