Nancy Ann Gordon

GORDON, Nancy, age 91, of Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 2, 1934, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Nancy lived a full and joyful life rooted in faith, family, and friendship. Nancy shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Don Gordon. Together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and the comforting smell of her famous holiday baking. She was the proud mother of Diana (Richard) Pierzynski, Linda (Richard) Shanton, and Glenn (Kathryn Merrow) Gordon; cherished grandmother of Nathan Shanton, Rachel (Mark) Hickey, and David (Amanda) Pierzynski; and beloved great-grandmother of Christopher, Theodore, Brooks, and Anastasia. She is also survived by her dear sister, Marylou Zanger and many nieces and nephews. Her faithful companion, Missy cat, was by her side to the end. Nancy spent many years working in the Records Department at Macomb Community College, where her attention to detail and warm spirit touched colleagues and students alike. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life — square dancing with friends, playing Sequence and Rummikub, spending summers in Elk Rapids and camping in Traverse City, and always keeping an eye out for a good bargain. An avid mystery reader and lifelong fan of Hallmark movies, Nancy also nurtured her deep faith as a devoted prayer warrior for all who needed encouragement and hope. Her kindness and steadfast love will be deeply missed, but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her. We want to thank her angels here on Earth for all the special care given over the last few years... In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made out to St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 3-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights. Instate will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Jane Frances De Chantal 38750 Ryan Rd., Sterling Heights, MI 48310.
