MERLO, Michael, S., October 16, 2024 Age 41. Michael Stephen Merlo was born on October 7, 1983, to Stephen Merlo and Patricia Merlo in Warren, Michigan. Mike's mom, Patricia, describes Mike as being funny and the light in the room. Mike and his dad, Steve, enjoyed talking sports and high end whiskey with one another. Mike loved both of his parents deeply. As a child, Mike's little sister Jenna would wait by the front door and bang on the glass out of excitement to see her big brother coming home from school. Mike always returned Jenna's excitement with a huge smile walking up to the door. Mike and Jenna used to wrestle often as kids. Mike's favorite move was to "power bomb" Jenna onto the bed. The two shared a deep love and respect for each other that brought them closer in adulthood. Mike enjoyed comparing craft beers with his beloved sister, Jenna and brother-in-law Josh. Mike enjoyed spending time with his friends throughout his life. They enjoyed playing football, frisbee, street hockey, video games, and listening to music. Mike cherished spending time with his close-knit group of friends throughout adulthood. They maintained a "lit" group chat with one another that he was frequently beaming about. Mike met the love of his life, Danielle, while they were working together at State Farm. Their friendship blossomed into a deep love for one another as they began dating in 2016. After asking Danielle's parents for permission, Mike went straight home and proposed to Danielle on October 16, 2020. Mike and Danielle were married on July 15, 2023. Over their eight short years together, their relationship continued growing, as did their love for one another. Mike and Danielle always worked as a team and were a perfect compliment to one another. Mike adored his time with Danielle and adored being a "beagle-dad" to Taz. Mike was the loving son of Stephen and Patricia Merlo. Dear brother of Jenna (Josh Kapa) Merlo. Adored son-in-law of Dan and Jody Clothier, and he is also survived by his sister-in-law Lauren Lambert.
