Marilyn Joyce Perron

Marilyn Joyce Perron, 90, of Sterling Heights, Michigan went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2024. Marilyn was born on June 17, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan. Marilyn and her husband, Adrian Perron, were married for 45 years before his passing in 1999. Marilyn was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years as well as a care giver for her own mother. Before retirement, Marilyn was an income tax preparer and a volunteer in the church office at Christ Lutheran. Marilyn had gifts of generosity and laughter. Marilyn was active serving in her church’s Food Pantry. She also loved to bless her family and friends by helping and supporting them whenever they were in need. While Marilyn faced many challenges in her later years, she never allowed these obstacles to keep her from assisting others and enjoying life. The joy of Marilyn’s life was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! Marilyn loved sharing experiences and vacations with each of her grandchildren. She had many friends and she enjoyed playing cards, working at church together, and traveling. Marilyn will be deeply missed by all who knew her, sharing life and laughter. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian and her parents, Ervin and Jennie Seymour. Marilyn is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Sharon (John) Messmann, Linda (Howard) Kuhlman, Connie (Greg) Jacks, and Suzanne (Keith) Rubis. Marilyn has 11 grandchildren: Jennie (Bryan) Bledsoe, Stephen (Tori) Messmann, Paul (Anna) Messmann, Adam (Dawn) Kuhlman, Emily Kuhlman (fiancé Timothy Garcia), Andrew (Karina) Kuhlman, Daniel Jacks, David Jacks, Marie (Dan) Sorgen, Joshua Rubis and Jacob Rubis. Marilyn has 10 great grandchildren: Beckett, Sarah Blake, and Easton Bledsoe; Sidney, Joseph, and Clara Messmann; Noah, Ethan and Oliver Kuhlman; and Sadie Sorgen. Visitation will be Monday, April 8, 2024, from 3 – 8 pm at Wujek Calcaterra & Sons (36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway.) Funeral Services for Marilyn will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church (32300 Schoenherr -between 13 & 14 Mile Rds.) She will lie in state for one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marilyn’s honor would be appreciated to Christ Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
