WALCZYBOCK, MARGARET ANN Age 70 June 3, 2026. Beloved wife of Rick. Proud mother of Rachel Walczybock & Brian Walczybock. Dearest daughter of the late Harold and the late Irene Smith. Dear sister of David (Nikki) Smith, Timothy (Stacey) Smith & Karen (Daniel) Karadsheh. Loving sister in law of Chris (Theresa) Walczybock & Carrie (Michael) Maloziec. Dearest daughter in law of the late Richard & the late Judith Walczybock. Also remembered by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Margaret truly lived her DASH. 😎 She valued friendships and relationships. Once you were caught in her web, she rarely saw people exit. She grew up in a house that supported her, valued hard work, and was surrounded by family time. Margaret always valued her family’s dynamic. She spent an immense amount of time with her siblings, aunts, and cousins, which led to them forming an unbreakable bond. Two of her first and dearest friends have journeyed through life with her since elementary school. This string of unwavering relationships also continued through her young adulthood. Her charm, charisma, and steadfast commitment towards relationships led her to build sturdy foundations with people throughout young adulthood. This includes, but is not limited to, making a lifelong friendship with her roommates from decades ago. Kmart was a vital part of her life in two very different ways. Margaret met the love of her life, Rick, while working as an Assistant Store Manager. At the time, Rick went by the “Roseman” because she was technically his boss, and it wasn’t until after Rick left Kmart that anyone knew about their “forbidden love”. 38 years of marriage have brought two beautiful children and a life full of vast memories. While Brian was in school, Margaret returned to Kmart, and through the process, a new set of relationships was formed. Throughout their marriage, Rick and Margaret moved several times, knowing that wherever they settled, life would be joyous. With each new home and neighborhood, so many wonderful people were brought into their lives. Margaret surrounded herself with tremendous friends and was extremely thankful for the relationships with those within her immediate proximity. Margaret was always a breath of fresh air. She danced to her own tune and always told it how she saw it. Her tenacious yet playful sass and spice were unparalleled. Margaret was also the gentlest and most thankful of individuals, leaving no one in doubt of where they sat with her. She would be the first to offer to host, but also the first to say “I’m in” when someone else planned the next adventure. After years and years of traveling and lasting memories, Margaret always looked forward to planning the next trip, even if the current trip was still in progress. She was always down for an adventure with everyone she loved and connected with, no matter how or when you met. She loved and supported her children fiercely. Whether it was being their biggest cheerleader or harshest critic, no day went by without her colorful commentary. Rachel and Brian inherited Margaret’s socialability and her commitment to everlasting bonds with those whom they love and cherish. Many of Rick and Margaret’s dearest friends were established through their own children’s personal relationships. Most of their trips, such as traveling to the lake, going camping, and international extravaganzas, took place with St. Lawrence, De La Salle, and Utica friends throughout their journey. Margaret was grateful for the memories of game nights at the house, volunteering at St. Leo’s and MCREST, being a part of Apple Fest, bar crawling, rocking out at concerts, the thrill of sporting events, and cruising Woodward Ave. in one of their many classic cars. Her passion and loyalty to the Lions and Spartans never faltered. Just as her faith and community grounded her and kept her involved. She leaves an incredible legacy and will have countless cherished memories shared by those who love her. Visitation Tuesday 3-9pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (SHELBY TOWNSHIP). Funeral Wednesday Instate 9:30am at St Lawrence Catholic Church 44633 Utica Rd. (S. of M-59 (Hall Rd.) and West of Van Dyke) until time of Mass at 10:00am.
