Judith Ann Gasparetto

December 5, 1941 - November 18, 2021

GASPARETTO, JUDITH ANN "JUDY" passed from this life on November 18, 2021, at her home in Shelby Township, at the age of 79 after a six-week battle with ovarian cancer. She was born December 5, 1941, in Detroit, MI, to Michael Joseph and Lucille Delia (Brisson) Zupan. She was a 1959 graduate of Frazer High School. She worked for many years as a billing clerk for Bernie Hoot Chevrolet and Arnold Lincoln Mercury. In 1968 she became mother to four daughters and soon welcomed two more to the family. Judy was an avid baker – a love of which she passed on to her youngest grandson. Her Zucchini bread was a family favorite along with the many Christmas cookies she baked every year. She loved to crochet, and each family member and many friends were blessed to receive their own handmade afghan and a regular supply of dish cloths. When she wasn’t baking or crocheting, Judy loved playing cards with her family and friends and could be found regularly at the Green Acres Bingo Hall where she played like a pro. She is survived by her six daughters - Deborah (the late Wayne) Johnston, Donna (Lacie) Kirk, Diane (Thomas) Waynick, Darlene (William) Ivan, Dorene (Dominic, Jr.) Guarnieri, & Dena (David) Elder; fifteen beloved grandchildren - Jennifer (Robert Rhodes) Johnston, Michael Johnston, Thomas Shane (Brenda) Kirk, Stephanie (Joey) Stone, Stephen Waynick, Daniel Waynick, Sarah Ivan, Brian (Crystal) Ivan, Christopher (Kristina) Ivan, Jacquelyn Guarnieri, Victoria (Nicholas) Christopher, Alexis Elder, Brandon Elder, Hailey Elder & Ryan Elder; nine cherished great grandchildren - Madison, Mackenzie, Brianna (Tyler) Tidwell, Lacie Marie, Lillie, Jacob, Charlotte, Dominick & Autumn; and her three much loved great great grandchildren - Chloe, Hannah & Riley. Judy was also survived by her brother Michael John (the late Carol) Zupan and her many loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her parents, one beloved grandson, Gregory Johnston, and by four siblings, Robert (Margie) Zupan, Gerald (Pat) Zupan, Elizabeth (Claude) Trambley & Mary Zupan. Visitation will be Monday, November 29, 2021, from 3-9pm with a 7:00pm Scripture Service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (Shelby Township). Funeral Tuesday, November 30, 2021, Instate 9:30am at St. Kieran Church, 53600 Mound Rd. (btw 24 & 25 Mile Rds.) until time of Mass at 10:00am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Donations are welcome to Seasons Hospice Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Share memories with the family at their "On Line Guest Book" @ WujekCalcaterra.com
