James Sylvester Shimshock

James Sylvester Shimshock of Fraser, Michigan, was welcomed into the arms of Our Heavenly Father on January 30, 2022. James was a devoted husband to Liliana for 51 cherished years, loving father to Ronald and Susan (Robert) Cohen, and wonderful grandfather to Brooke, Kyle, and Grace. He was a dear brother to Edward (Juanita) Shimshock, Antonette (Brad) Trout-Mikel and Robert (Terre) Shimshock. James was a beloved son-in-law to Costantina (Attilio) Coscione and brother-in-law to Giuseppe Coscione and Teresina (Lelio) D’Aristotile. He was a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Edward Shimshock and mother Ann Shimshock. James was known to all as a kind and gentle friend. He was a hard-working man who most enjoyed taking care of his family and home. He took great pleasure in all types of automobiles, gardening, reading the newspaper, drinking a good cup of coffee, and eating salad and green apples. James always looked forward to the coming of warm spring and summer days so he could spend time outside in nature, play catch with the family dog, Harry, and take walks with his grandchildren. Visitation Friday from 3-8:30pm with a 7pm Rosary at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., 36900 Schoenherr Rd. at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate Saturday from 10:30 am until time of 11am Mass at St. Ronald Catholic Church, 17701 15 Mile Rd, Clinton Twp., 48035.
