Gino Del Pup

DEL PUP, Gino. Passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at the age of 81. Gino was blessed with the opportunity to see and talk to all of his loved ones before he passed. Beloved husband of Mary for 49 incredible years, Gino was blessed with a good life. He was an active member of the Venetian Club of Mutual Aid and the Cordenons Club. Gino was very proud of his three children and took pride in being a good Nonno to his five grandchildren. Loving father of Gino J. (Laura), Brian (Catherine), and Marisa (John) Badanjek. Very proud and adored Nonno of Anthony, Gino L., Isabella, Stella, and Natalie. Gino will be missed by his brothers, Gianni (Felicita), and Mario (Mary), Sister in law, Janet (the late Richard) Piovesana, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gino was born in Cordenons, Italy on June 30, 1939. He came to the United States in 1955 with his mother and two brothers to reunite with his father who came to the U.S. in 1954. He was drafted into the Army in 1962 and proudly served until 1964. Gino was so honored to be an American. He especially enjoyed spending his winters at his home away from home in Longboat Key, Florida; walking the beach, fishing, cooking, and enjoying time with his many "snowbird" friends. In Michigan, Gino always enjoyed: making sausages with his children, whipping up his wonderful spaghetti sauce, and canning tomatoes and homemade antipasto. He loved his garden, and his tomato plants were his pride and joy. He was so meticulous, he would seed his tomatoes in Florida and transplant the seedlings in Michigan. Gino will be missed by many, but wonderful memories live on. Rest In Peace Gino and good bye to a great family man.
