Geremia Lisi

LISI, Geremia. October 20, 2026. Age 94. Beloved husband of Pasqualina (nee: Vendetti) for 68 years. Loving father of Loretana Lisi (Jeffrey Yepko) and Giuseppe Lisi (Snezana). Proud and loving Nonno of his grandchildren Arianna, Annalisa (Jarrod), Marina, Gina, Daniela (Ryan), and Valentino (Melissa) and his great-granddaughter Gisela. Dear brother of Mario Lisi (Ada) and the late Assunta Castaldi (Cesare) and the late Francesco Lisi. Geremia was born on October 21, 1931, in Ceprano, Italy, to Giuseppe and Teresa Lisi. As the oldest of four children, he developed a strong sense of responsibility and family values that remained with him throughout his life. On February 14, 1966, he immigrated with his family to the United States, arriving at Ellis Island aboard the Michelangelo. He was welcomed by his brother Francesco, and together they boarded a train bound for Detroit to begin a new chapter in America. Shortly after arriving, Geremia began working for Ford Motor Company as a line operator. Through hard work and dedication, he transitioned into machine maintenance and retired after 30 years of loyal service. An avid hunter in Italy, Geremia brought his passion for the outdoors with him to the United States. He taught his children from a young age the skills he learned growing up, including hunting and preparing game such as rabbits, deer, pheasant, and quail. He also had a deep appreciation for homemade food and took great pride in making his own bread, pasta, sausage, and wine. Together, Geremia and Pasqualina maintained an impressive backyard garden filled with fresh vegetables, fruit trees including pear, fig, and plum, and giant cucuzzi that often grew nearly five feet long. He was outgoing, hardworking, and fiercely competitive, enjoying bocce, bowling, card games, and tackling countless home improvement projects. Above all else, Geremia's greatest joy was his family. He loved them unconditionally and treasured every opportunity to gather everyone together. His warmth, generosity, work ethic, and devotion to those he loved will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
