Genia Carmen Perczi

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Perczi, Genia Carmen, 65, April 9, 2026. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Maria (Chris) Deroche; Cherished wife of Constantin Titi. She was born February 16, 1961 daughter of Maria Padureanu and the late Gheorge in Comanesti, Romania. Carmen was one of the kindest, most selfless, loving, and humble women you could ever meet. She loved everyone wholeheartedly and truly touched every life she encountered. She was an incredibly proud mother, a devoted wife, a caring daughter, and a best friend to so many. Her laughter filled every room, and she had a beautiful way of making people feel seen, heard, and deeply loved. She showed up for others without hesitation, always putting their needs before her own. Even nurses who had cared for her for only a single shift were moved to tears, holding her hand in her final days. Every provider who met her shared the same sentiment—that she was the sweetest woman they had ever known. She had a rare gift for leaving a lasting mark on every heart she met. Carmen had a spark that could not be dimmed, even in her last days. Her long yet far too short battle was one of the hardest things Carmen and her family endured. She fought with unwavering bravery and grace, never giving up hope. Even in her final moments, it was difficult for her to let go. She had a deep passion for life. Even in her final days, she encouraged everyone she met to cherish every second. She loved traveling with her daughter to Miami and vacationing in Mexico. Carmen found joy in cooking for others, Carmen found immense joy in flowers, every time she would see some it would always brighten her day. In her short but meaningful retirement, she especially enjoyed gardening, fishing, spending time up north with her husband, and experiencing nature. Carmen had a deep connection with her family, always taking care of those she loved especially her mother. Her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. But her love, her lessons, and her spirit will always remain with us, in the way we care for each other, in the way we choose kindness, and in the way we hold onto what truly matters. We will miss her beyond words. But we will carry her with us, always. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 from 3-9pm with a Funeral Service at 7pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights. Interment to take place at Utica Cemetery, Shelby Township, MI Tuesday, April 14, 2026 1pm.
