GELLE, Frank M. December 20, 2021. Age 75. Beloved husband of Franca (nee: Simone) for 49 cherished years. Loving father of Jason Gelle (Genevieve), Kristina Merideth (John) & Nicholas Gelle (Amelia). Proud and loving "Gramps" of Ava, Vincent, Gabriella, Natalie, Julia, Jaclyn, Gina, Vivian, Victoria & Olivia. Beloved nephew of Antoinette Gelle and John (Betty) Gelle. Dear brother of Sarah (Rod) Mealing & family and the late Joseph (Nancy) Gelle & family. Dear brother-in-law of Rita Finley & family, Salvatore (Cynthia) Simone & family and Denise Benedetti (Phil) & family. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Bonnie Gelle and uncle Andrew (Betty) Gelle and his in-laws Mario & Maria Simone. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frank graduated from Osborne High School in Detroit in 1964 and was soon after drafted into the United States Army. He proudly served as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War and was awarded several medals. After returning home Frank successfully owned and operated Mr. Siding in Center Line and Sterling Heights. Frank was genuinely kind, compassionate and loved everyone he met. The greatest joy of his life was his wife & his family. He loved them unconditionally and was especially proud of his 10 grandchildren. Frank will lie Instate from 9am until the 10am Mass on Tuesday, December 28th at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Rd. (between Van Dyke and M-59). Immediately following the funeral mass, there will be military honors provided by the United States Army. A private entombment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
