In Loving Memory of Deanna Graham It is with profound sadness and immeasurable love that we announce the passing of Deanna Graham, a devoted wife, extraordinary mother, loving grandmother, cherished daughter and sister, and a beautiful friend to so many. Deanna was the beloved daughter of Maria Ewing and James Wiley and a dear sister to Richard Ewing, Brenda Ewing Piaskowski, and Sherry Ewing. Family was at the very center of Deanna’s life, and there was nothing she treasured more than the people she loved. For 37 beautiful years, Deanna shared her life with her best friend and partner, John Graham, including 29 years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, laughter, faith, and countless memories. Deanna was an incredible wife and partner whose love, loyalty, and devotion to John were evident in everything she did. Deanna faced an incredibly difficult battle with stage IV leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that develops in smooth muscle tissue. For nearly two years following her diagnosis, she fought with extraordinary strength, courage, and determination. She completely changed her lifestyle, doing everything she could to become healthier and stronger - not only for herself, but for the family she loved more than anything. Throughout her journey, Deanna endured five different chemotherapy treatments, facing each new challenge with remarkable resilience. No matter how difficult the road became, she never gave up. Her strength throughout her battle was a true reflection of the woman she was: determined, selfless, hopeful, and incredibly strong. Above all else, Deanna’s greatest pride and joy was being a mother. She was the incredible mother of five children, Mikayla Bibashani, Connor Graham, Isabella Graham, Adrianna Graham, and Jackson Graham, who loved her more than words could ever express. Her children were her entire world. She supported them endlessly, celebrated every accomplishment, stood beside them during every challenge, and loved each of them with her whole heart. She especially loved watching her girls dance and never missed a competition. No matter how long the day, how far the drive, or how many hours she spent sitting in an auditorium, she was there. She was their biggest supporter, always cheering them on and taking pride in every moment. One of Deanna’s greatest blessings was becoming a grandmother to her beloved granddaughter, Katalina Bibashani. Spending time with Katalina brought her tremendous happiness. The love she had for her granddaughter was unmistakable, and the memories they created together will forever be treasured. Deanna was truly one of the kindest and most generous people anyone could ever know. She was the type of person who would quite literally give someone the shirt off her back if she thought it would help them. She never hesitated to lend a hand, offer advice, provide support, or simply be there when someone needed her. She cared deeply about people, and she had a remarkable way of making those around her feel loved, supported, and understood. She was also incredibly funny. Deanna could bring laughter into almost any situation and somehow find a way to make you smile even on your hardest days. Her humor, quick wit, personality, and contagious joy made her someone people simply loved being around. And anyone who knew Deanna knew just how smart she was. She seemed to know something about absolutely everything. Whether the conversation was serious, completely random, or somewhere in between, she always had something insightful to say. She loved a good debate, and those closest to her knew that winning an argument against Deanna was nearly impossible. Her intelligence, confidence, and quick wit were such memorable parts of who she was. Some of Deanna’s happiest moments were also the simplest ones. She loved going out to breakfast with her family, spending time with her granddaughter, watching movies, and finding a Netflix show she could completely immerse herself in. She did not need extravagant things to be happy. Being surrounded by the people she loved was what mattered most to her. Through everything in life, Deanna remained deeply rooted in her faith in Jesus Christ. Her faith gave her strength, hope, and comfort, and it was an important part of the woman she was. She carried that faith with her throughout her life and trusted deeply in the Lord. There are some people whose presence becomes such a fundamental part of a family that it is impossible to imagine life without them. Deanna was that person. She was the one you could call for an answer, a laugh, advice, support, or simply because you needed your mom. She was a source of comfort and strength. She made ordinary moments special simply by being there. Her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but the love she gave throughout her life will never disappear. It lives on in John, in each of her five children, in her granddaughter Katalina, in her family and friends, and in every person who was fortunate enough to experience her kindness. Her children will carry with them the lessons she taught them, the strength she gave them, the laughter they shared, and the unconditional love of a mother who would have done absolutely anything for them. They loved their mom to the moon and back, and that love will continue far beyond this lifetime. Deanna will be remembered for her enormous heart, her generosity, her intelligence, her humor, her strength, her unwavering faith, and above all, the extraordinary love she had for her family. She was an amazing daughter and sister, a devoted wife, an irreplaceable mother, a loving grandmother, and a loyal friend. She was a joy to be around. She was deeply loved. And she will be missed more than words could ever express. While her family would give anything for one more breakfast together, one more movie, one more laugh, one more conversation, or one more hug, they find comfort in knowing that the love Deanna gave them is something that death can never take away. Her beautiful life and the love she poured into others will remain part of her family forever. Until we meet again, Deanna, you will be loved to the moon and back always.
