Colin Kerr Desmond

DESMOND, Colin. March 24, 2022. Age 21. Beloved son of Sean (Pam) Desmond and the late Melissa nee: MacLennan. Loving brother of Connor Desmond, Shea Desmond, Amanda (Zach) Lopez, and Donovan Desmond. Cherished grandson of Julia (the late Dennis) Desmond, and Ron (Linda) MacLennan. Survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. After a brave ten-month long battle with leukemia, Colin, beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend to so many, was called home to eternal life. We are sure he was lovingly greeted there by his mom, Melissa, and grandpa Dennis Desmond. Colin was one of a kind…absolutely adored by family, friends and teachers alike. He was so funny – it didn’t matter if he was at school, church, at home, with friends or at Jet’s Pizza with coworkers – he always made everyone laugh and smile. Colin had a few things in particular that he was passionate about. He loved music from all genres, from John Denver to Led Zeppelin to current rap favorites. He loved his blue Ford F150, which he worked so hard for, and purchased on his own at age 19. He adored all animals...he had an endless list of dogs that he would have loved to get and his dream job would have been at a zoo. Lastly, he had a passion for sports, particularly football and basketball. Of course, he was a Detroit fan! But he liked other teams as well. We have a couple of favorite memories that we would like to share. Colin was great at doing impressions…he did a spot-on Cartman from South Park. He also picked up a hilarious Scottish accent by watching his favorite all time movie Braveheart! And if you ever needed a hug, Colin was the place to go! He had the biggest, warmest heart. These are the things we will miss the most. Colin had so many things to do and places to go…until we all meet again, Colin, may you soar to all those places, watch over us and guide us in all we do, and laugh…we’ll be seeing you. Visitation Monday April 4th, 3-9pm. Funeral Service Tuesday 10:30am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons. 36900 Schoenherr Rd. at Metro Parkway (16 Mile).
