SAHUTSKE. CLAUDIA J. (née Ksiazek) died peacefully in her home, accompanied by family, on August 15, 2018 in Clinton Township, MI at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Dan. Claudia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dan (Donna), Laura, P.J., Beth (Richard) Furness, Phil (Michele), Matthew (Beth), JoMarie (Brian) Rice; siblings, Stanley (Carolyn) Ksiazek and Elaine Banaszewski. Proud grandmother of Kyle(Morissa), Sophie, Meghan (Alex), Nathan, Matthew, Kelsey, Jenna (Steve), Jake, J.C., Jamie, Jill(Jake), Andrew, Sarah, Paige, Cameron,. Izak, Quinn, Tadhg, Ellie, Kevin, Luke & Erin. Great grandmother of Logan, Charlotte & Spencer. Also survievd by many cousins, nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Amy Yucha. Claudia was born in Detroit, Michigan to Jean and Stanley Ksiazek. She graduated from St. Anthony High school and went on to earn her degree from University of Detroit in Dental Hygiene; beginning a career that would span 43 years. She married her high school boyfriend, Dan, in 1959. Over 11 years the couple welcomed seven children into their home, giving Claudia her proudest accomplishment of a warm and loving family. Her devotion to, and love of children and grandchildren was unrivaled; making each feel as if they were her favorite. Claudia was an avid gardener, often experimenting with new plants and garden designs. She often fostered cuttings from friends to full bloom as if that plant always belonged in her garden, a fitting analogy to the way she welcomed new members of the family through marriages and births. Everyone always belonged in Claudia's home. She was a generous host who loved welcoming family and friends to all holiday gatherings at her home filled with laughter and joy. One rarely left without leftovers, treat bags for kids, and a throat hoarse from laughter and conversation. Visitation Friday 3-9pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Funeral Saturday Instate 10:00am at St. Ronald Catholic Church 17701 15 Mile Rd. (btw.
