GIERLOWSKI, Christine, A., March 5, 2024 Age 75. In remembrance of Christine Ann Gierlowski, born on April 6, 1948, to Alfred and Casimira Zalewski in Detroit, MI, we celebrate a life filled with love, family, and profound contributions. Christine was one of four children and is survived by her identical twin sister, Kathleen Hoenicke. Christine pursued a degree in Medical Technology at Wayne State University during her life, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career at various hospitals. During her educational journey and professional endeavors, she forged enduring friendships. Beyond her professional pursuits, Christine had a passion for culinary arts, winning a recipe contest at Michigan State University. Her love for cooking and discovering delicious recipes became a cherished aspect of her life. Her devotion to family extended beyond blood ties, embracing a deep connection with her faith as a devout Catholic. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to serving God and positively impacting the world. More than anything, Christine loved spending time with her family. In 1973, she married her sweetheart, Timothy, who preceded her in death. Christine took great pride in her Polish heritage, ensuring her four children were actively engaged in Polish dancing and even occasionally sharing the dance floor with Timothy. Above all, Christine's heart swelled with love for her seven grandchildren. Her loving heart extended to her in-laws, nephews, niece, and her lifelong friendships. Christine is survived by her children Patrick (Jessica), Anne (Ben), Kathryn (Tom), and Matthew (Erin), as well as grandchildren Jalynn, Conor, Kian, Noah, Roan, Alexander, and Gabriella. Her legacy is one of selflessness, kindness, and boundless love. Her family and friends will remember Christine forever for her beautiful spirit and unwavering generosity in the hearts of those who knew her. Visitation will be held at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons (Sterling Heights) on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held at St. Ephrem Church on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 11:00 am. She will lie Instate at 10:00am.
