Chris Robert Hamilton

August 19, 1950 - December 9, 2021

HAMILTON, Chris Robert of Macomb Township, passed away on December 9th, 2021 while at Beaumont Hospital in Troy fighting his battle against COVID. He was 71 years old. Chris was a devoted husband to Beverly for 43 years. Beverly lost her battle to COVID only 5 days prior to his death. He was cherished father to Laurie (Bob) Donaldson, Stacey (Paul) Blanchard and Kristen (Mike) Woods. He was a very proud papa to Kelsie, Alex, Gavin, Mia, Lucas, Jacob, and Kelly. Chris, the first-born son to Edith and Robert Hamilton, was born in Ferndale, Michigan on August 19th, 1950. He grew up in Hazel Park, Michigan with his younger brother, Craig. In early life, Chris found success on the baseball field as a pitcher with the local little league. After discovering cars and girls, he shifted his focus to earning enough money to enjoy both. He spent many of his nights working at the Shady Grove, the family bar, in Hazel Park. A proud graduate of Hazel Park High School, Chris would forge a long and fulfilling career as an engineer and draftsman and developed many life-long friendships along the way. Chris was a devoted friend, a loving husband, an irreplaceable father, and a cherished papa. He is survived by his beautiful 93-year-old mother, three daughters, seven grandchildren, his brother and many other family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
