FISCHER, Cathleen "Cathy" February 23, 2023. Age 59. Dear daughter of the late William & Joanne Fischer. Dearest sister of Bryan Fischer, Teresa Fischer, Bonnie (Michael) Saxton, Peggy (the late Peter) Tringali, and the late Eric (Karen) Fischer. Proud aunt of Jessica (Nathan) McMannus, Christopher, Meaghan Miller, Brian Saxton, the late Adam (Jessica) Saxton, Melissa (Joel) Knoop, Adrianna Tringali, Peter (Mel) Tringali, and Anthony (Angela) Tringali, Eric Fischer Jr., Brendan, Garrett, Emma, Damien, Meagan. Survived by her Dearest Friend and Companion Fred Nows; his children; Nic, Jacob, and Emily. Cathy also grew to be very close to Fred's parents; Paul (Carol) & Grace, and Fred's siblings,Teri (Ron) Wellington, Luann, and Paul. Cathy passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 23, 2023. She grew up in St. Clair Shores, MI and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1981. Her love of music and beautiful singing voice afforded her to be a student at Oakland University at the age of 16. There were four records recorded with her choir during her time at Oakland University. She traveled to New York City where she and her fellow choir members performed off Broadway. At 16 years old she was employed by Little Caesars in St. Clair Shores. This was a natural segue for ownership of Little Caesar franchises (1991) in Altoona and State College PA. Cathy moved back to Michigan in January 1999 to be with her growing family of nieces and nephews. She then pursued a second career in Project Management in the automotive industry. Cathy was devoted to her family. Her nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart, as she was a mentor to all of them. Her love was abundant for her dog Bailey and her cat Anderson. They are well behaved because of Cathy’s dedication to their training when puppy and kitten. Cathy also had a love for the outdoors. One of her passions was fishing. She was extremely proud of her prize-winning Speckled Trout caught in Michigan and the Wahoo she caught off the coast of Hawaii. In recent years she enjoyed spending time with Fred on Douglas Lake in Northern Michigan. A kindhearted loving soul, taken too early. LOVED by many. Will be missed by all. A Memorial Visitation will take place Saturday March 11th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Sunday March 12th from 10:00am until 11:30am. Memorial Service is Sunday, March 12th, 11:30am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile).
