SALET, Audrey, Diana, (nee Walenga) Born on June 20, 1939 and Passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 86. It is with deep love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Audrey Diana Salet (Walenga) a loving wife, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished friend. Mom passed away peacefully, with family by her side after a brief illness leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. A selfless and nurturing soul, she dedicated her life to raising her children and later, her beloved grandchildren. Her home was a haven of comfort, laughter, and love — the place where memories were made and bonds were strengthened. She had a passion for gardening and sewing; all five kids would be seen in matching outfits that she lovingly made. Her grandchildren will forever treasure the joy of countless sleepovers filled with laughter, cousin adventures, and the magic of midnight swims. She was always there with warm towels waiting at the pool's edge — a small gesture that held the warmth of her enormous heart. Oh and let’s not forget the cheez-its and popcorn She is now reunited with the love of her life, at peace and surrounded by the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, who will continue to honor her through the lives they lead and the love they share. Beloved wife of the late Joseph (2019) for 58 loving years. Dedicated mom of Joseph III, the late Dennis J. (Lisa McKean), Donald J. (Tania), Daniel J., and Diane (Anton Jr.) Matye. Proud grandma of Anton Matye III (Dr. Lindsay Harden), Sara (Joe) Pasquantonio, Nick (Naheela) Olczak, Donald II (Courtney), Lauren Pardy, Dominic, Chelsea (Drew) Scott, Nick (Anna Copple), Jacquelyn, Christian Matye (Olivia Jeakle), Ariana, and great grandma of Oliver, Marshall, Emmett, Patrick, Logan, Mila-Jo, Adina, AJ and Alana. Loving sister of Arleen (Jon) Hughes, and Alfreda Walenga Rowley; Aunt of many Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Walenga (nee Finkowski) her infant brother Andrzej, her granddaughter, Breanna, her in laws Helen and Joseph Salet Sr., Sisters-in-law Jean (The late Frank) Perry and Linda Lustig, and nephew Kevin Polito A Memorial Mass will be held for Audrey at a later date.
