TRUDEAU, Anne. May 16, 2025. Age 103. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Loving mother of the late John, the late Joan, Stephen (Laura), and the late David (Gretchen). Treasured grandmother of James (Emily), Keith (Betsey), Danielle, Victoria (Colbert Lucey), David (Laura), Brooks, and adored great grandmother of Annora, Genevieve, and William. She was predeceased by her siblings, Sam Parsons, Margaret Kerr, and Coleman Parsons. Anne was born Anna Bell Parsons in Shelbyville, TN on April 29th, 1922. At the age of sixteen she graduated high school early and moved north to Detroit to work in the auto industry. Anne's warm smile and ready laugh quickly won her friends, while her sharp mind and extraordinary photographic memory swiftly secured her an executive secretarial position at Chrysler Corp. She fell in love with a handsome young serviceman, Robert Payette Trudeau, and they kept up correspondence during his deployment in Italy. She married Bob in Grosse Pointe at St Paul's on the Lake in 1946, wearing her self designed silk organza wedding gown (inspired by Gone with the Wind - complete with ruffles and hoop skirt)... a nod to her southern roots. By that time she had changed her name socially to Anne Jacqueline Parsons. Anne and Bob were married for 70 years and they built a life in St. Clair Shores surrounded by a tight knit group of friends. They had four smart and beautiful children, John, Joan, Stephen, and David. She was a loving mother and later an affectionate grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed hosting family Christmases in their Clinton Township home and took special pride in her ornately decorated 10-foot tree. She loved the pink, white, and gold adorned tree so much that she decided to keep it up instead of packing it away after the holidays ended one year! That started a new tradition of keeping her tree with its beautiful beaded and crystal ornaments on display all year round, a habit she kept until her passing. Anne had a great appreciation for beauty in all its forms, and a keen intellect as well! She used the former to dress and accessorize impeccably, the latter to teach herself how to invest (with great success) in the stock market, and both to build her interior design business. Anne's charismatic personality combined with her great eye for color and ability to "see" a room in her mind and to design attractive and functional spaces won her many private and public clients. Anne was an avid duplicate bridge player until age 95, and a voracious reader of novels all of her life. She had friends of all ages and loved a good party, most recently celebrating her 103rd birthday with family and friends at Cedarbrook in Bloomfield Hills. Visitation Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, from 3-8pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 36900 Schoenherr Rd. at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Funeral Friday, May 23rd, Instate from 9:30am until time of 10am Mass at St. Hugo of the Hills Church (Stone Chapel), 2215 Opdyke Rd., Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery.
