Trpko A. Markovski

Trpko A. Markovski, age 77, passed away on September 23, 2005. He was born on January 10, 1948 in Celopek, Macedonia to Aleksander and Petra Markovski. He spent his early years in Macedonia and Serbia and was in the Navy, which led to his love of the water. He married Milica Markovski on January 21, 1971 and a few months later they began their courageous journey to the United States where he spent 30 years of his career working at Chrysler. Trpko was preceded in death by his wife of over 53 years Milica. He was a loving and proud father to Robert Markovski (Daniela) and Rozi (Ljubisa) Petrovski and a cherished grandfather (Dedo) to Isabella, Amelia, Jordan, Aleksandar and Zachary. He was a dear brother to sister Ljubica (Bogoja) Dordevski and brother-in-law Velko (Mira) Sotirovski. He was predeceased by his parents Aleksander and Petra Markovski, his in-laws Stojan and Lada Bogdanovski, sister-in-laws Zagorka (Petko) Trpcevski and Blaga (Bosko) Matoski. He was very passionate about sports, with soccer being one of his true loves. He was one of the founding members of the Vardar soccer club in Detroit during the 1970’s. He coached his son Robert for many years as well as our St. Mary’s church soccer team where he won a championship. Trpko also enjoyed watching basketball, tennis and was very passionate about his flowers and garden. He loved to travel, be on the water and spend time in Florida. During his retirement, he treasured the company of his many friends, often playing cards and enjoying lunches together. These moments brought him great happiness. Trpko was a hard-working man who loved his family. His most cherished accomplishment was being a grandfather (dedo) to his 5 loving grandchildren. He loved them with all his heart and was very proud of their many accomplishments. Trpko lived a very fulfilling life surrounded by family and loved ones. He spent the last year of his life traveling and visiting family and friends. From his early years in the United States, Trpko was a devoted member of his church and made meaningful contributions to help support its growth and the community. He was so proud of his heritage, his family and friends, and the life he and his beloved wife Milica accomplished. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend whose legacy of faith, family, and love of the family and love of the community will live on in all who knew him. Liturgy 10am at Nativity Of The Virgin Mary Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 43123 Ryan Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48314 (19 Mile & Ryan). Interment, Guardian Angel Cemetery.
