PISACRETA, MARIA Age 77, passed away March 3, 2026. Beloved wife of Giovanni for 59 years. Loving mother of Diane (Brian Simpson) Pisacreta, Giovanni (Ashley) Pisacreta, and Antonio Pisacreta. Proud and devoted Nonna of Giovanna Simpson, Giovanni Pisacreta, and Alessandra Pisacreta. Dearest sister of Filomena (the late Giosue) Di Meo, Pasquale (Maria) Sarno, and the late Elvira Sarno. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Maria came to the United States at the age of 19, embracing the challenge of learning a new language and adapting to a new culture. With courage and determination, she built a life centered on belief, hard work, and family, creating a loving home and strong foundation for generations to come. Maria was the heart of her family and lived a life centered on faith, family, friends, and food. A proud Italian matriarch, she found her greatest joy in cooking and gathering those she loved around the dinner table. Her home was a place where family and friends sat for hours, sharing stories, laughter, and conversation over meals she lovingly prepared. Her lasagna, especially on holidays and birthdays, was legendary and brought everyone together in the way only Maria could. Nothing brought Maria greater happiness than her grandchildren. She was a proud and loving Nonna who treasured every moment spent with them. Whether sharing meals, celebrating holidays, or simply enjoying time together, her love for them was constant and unconditional. A woman of deep Catholic faith, Maria lived her life guided by devotion to God and love for her family. She found strength and comfort in her faith and carried it with quiet grace throughout her life. Maria will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and deep devotion to the people she loved. The traditions she created, the meals she shared, and the love she gave so freely will live on in the family she cherished so deeply. Reunited in heaven with loved ones who went before her, Maria now rests in the peace of Christ, and her love will continue to guide her family for generations to come. Funeral Saturday, March 14, 2026 Instate 10:00am at St. Matthias Church 12311 19 Mile Rd. (W. of Schoenherr) until time of Mass at 10:30am. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
