Teri Ann Vogeli

VOGELI, TERI ANN. At the age of 64 and surrounded by the family she treasured, Teri Ann Vogeli joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven early on the morning of December 31, 2018. She was a resident of Chesaning, Michigan, where she completed a joyous life filled with service to her family, church, and community. To God be the glory! Teri was born on August 10, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas. She was the oldest of five children. After attending Lutheran schools through eighth grade, Teri graduated from Edison High School and Concordia College, Seward, Nebraska, where she met her husband of 43 years, the Reverend Mitchell Raymond Vogeli. After four years teaching elementary school in California, Teri turned her boundless energy and creativity to being a wife, mother, homeschooler to her seven children, and dedicated student of God's Word. With her children grown, Teri enthusiastically embraced the roles of grandmother, artist, jeweler, musician, gardener, chef, and baker. Among her many interests and joys was caring for and adding to her menagerie of cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, horses, and sheep. She also cherished her role as music director supporting Pastor Mitch at their church home, Nativity Lutheran in St. Charles. It is fitting that she had presented the children's message at Nativity's Christmas Eve service moments before the Lord called her home. Beloved wife of Mitch. Loving mother of Nikki Long, Jenni Krupsky, Nate, Scott, Jason, Eric, and Ryan. Proud grandmother of eight. Dear sister of two brothers, two sisters, nineteen nieces & nephews, seven cousins and a host of dear friends and admirers. Teri was preceded in death by her parents Elmer Junior and Myrtle Ruth Juelg (nee Stauffer). Gathering will take place Saturday beginning at 12:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church 45160 Van Dyke at Hall Rd. until time of Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm.
