SIMONETTI, Rose M. May 1, 2023. Age 95. Beloved wife of Sam for 68 incredible years. Loving mother of Jody, Toni (Jeff) Neville, MaryRose (Brian) Wilk, and Vincent (Cheryl). Proud and adored grandmother of Samantha Rose (John) Giles, Dana (Andrew) Mulrenin, Dominic, and great grandmother of Theo Giles. Treasured aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Donato and Antonia Bonbrisco, and siblings, Anna, Eugene, Theresa, and Tony. Rose was devoted to her family. Sam was the love of her life, and her reason for being was her four children. Her grandchildren call her Grandma; she was loved as Aunt Rose. She was a loyal friend. She became a civil marriage officiant and performed the marriage of two daughters. She loved to play bridge and travel. And sew. She was a master seamstress who sewed beautiful creations for herself, her mother, her daughters. Rose, the entrepreneur, began a business making curtains and draperies at her home workshop, Custom Draperies by Rose. You could find Rose in the garden most spring and summer days. She loved flowers, and especially roses which surrounded a Blessed Mother statuary. She built her cutting flower gardens at all her homes, even transplanting vintage peonies from her mother-in-law's garden from home to home and sharing divisions with her family. She did her own gardening, and always had a bouquet of lilacs, daisies, dahlias, lilies, or cone flowers in the house. She liked to play games of all kinds; cards, board games, digital games, and slot machines in Vegas. Mostly she loved her family. Family was everything. She was happiest when her brood was together in her presence. We will miss her forever. Funeral Tuesday May 9, 2023. Instate from 9am until time of 10am Mass at St. Kieran Church, 53600 Mound Rd, Shelby Twp, 48316 (Btw. 24 & 25 Mile Rd.) and followed by Interment, Resurrection Cemetery.
