Paul Khalil Arida

Paul Khalil Arida, age 71, of Clarkston, MI, passed peacefully to his Heavenly Father on March 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in Tyre (Sour) Lebanon on September 21, 1953, to the late Khalil and Asma (Copti) Arida. He was the beloved husband of Denise, a proud father of Danielle (Ryan) Pendleton, Paula Arida and Christopher (Fatima) Arida, as well as a cherished Jiddo to Nora and Layla Pendleton. He was a loving brother to Louis (Marlene) Arida, Therese (the late Ibrahim) Issa, Claire (the late Michel) Aouad and Antoine (Neran) Arida. He was predeceased by his sisters, Marie (the late Michael) Haddad and Antoinette Arida. Paul was a fun-loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Jeanette (Ghassan) Khalil, Georgette (Fawzi) Tomey, and Linda (Souheil) Sabak. Paul was a man of humble nature and was known for his positive spirit, big smile and sense of humor. He loved his family immensely and was a cherished friend to all. He was a dedicated man of faith, and all those around him felt loved by his kind heart and genuine compassion. He enjoyed sharing life lessons over a good meal and inspired others through his wisdom, perseverance and grit. A man of many talents, Paul had a natural gift of art and design. As a hard-working and well-respected Design Engineer, Paul worked at General Motors for many years. In his spare time, he created beautiful paintings and woodwork. His presence and smile will be greatly missed. May his memory be eternal. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Redemption Melkite Catholic Church (29293 Lorraine Ave, Warren, MI 48093) on Monday, March 24, from 2-8pm, with a Trisagion (prayer service) starting at 7:30pm. Final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Redemption Melkite Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 25th at 10am, followed by a funeral service at 11am. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery (18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038) immediately following the funeral service.
