Natalie Ann Marchione

Marchione, Natalie A. August 6, 2025. Survived by devoted partner Cheryl Morrison and beloved golden retriever Harvey. Also survived by loving mother Catherine Marchione; loving sister Valerie (Fred) Marszalec, brothers Jeff (Christina) Marchione and John (Holly) Marchione; cherished nephews Andrew (Bailey) and Austin (Chelsea) and nieces Elise, Erin (Glen), Haley (Josh) and Emily; and several dear great nephews and nieces. Natalie was a long-time employee at Oakland Family Services, first as a social worker, then as the director of the Berkley satellite office, ending her career as the Vice President of Quality Assurance and Grants. Natalie was a very kind person who always thought of others before herself, always ready to help anyone who needed it. She was very generous with her time and resources, even though she herself at times had little to give. Natalie was also a registered organ donor. Christmas was her favorite holiday—she took time to find just the right tree and left it up well past its expiration date. She was well known throughout the neighborhood for leaving her outdoor decorations up well past spring or when they stopped working, which ever came first. Natalie created her own Christmas traditions with the younger nieces and nephews, which they looked forward to each year. Natalie’s neighbors thought of her as the “hearbeat of Dewey Street,” and she was often seen sitting in the front yard with her dogs, regardless of the weather. She even placed a bench in her front yard for friends and neighbors to come sit and talk. Visitation Thursday 3-8 pm with 5 pm parastas (prayer service) at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. (Sterling Heights), 36900 Schoenherr Rd. at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate Friday 11am until time of 12pm funeral liturgy at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 23300 King Drive, Clinton Township. It was Natalie’s request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Oakland Family Services, 114 Orchard Lake Rd., Pontiac, Michigan and to Golden Retriever Foundation at www.goldenretrieverfoundation.org.
