Giannetti, Maria Age 90, Monday, January 2, 2023 Maria Antoinette Giannetti passed away at her home on January 2, 2023 at 90 years old. She was surrounded by the love of many of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as the Lord brought her home. Maria was the beloved wife of the late Silvio Antonio Giannetti. Loving mother of the late Ricky (Angelina), Anna Marie Walter, Rita Stokes, Angelo (Denise), Susan (Carl) Collier, Silvio, Paul, Mark (Trisha), Frank (Yvonne) and Lucy (Michael) Reid, 34 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren with two more on the way. Beloved sister to Annie (Adam) D’Onofrio, Remo (Sandy) Orsini and the late Frank (Ellen) Orsini. Maria was born in Windsor, Canada. She was a woman of deep Catholic faith, a loyal friend to all and the backbone of strength of her family. She was truly an angel on Earth and with her unconditional love, she was always willing to help anyone. Her husband fondly referred to her as "Sister Mary." Maria was also the backbone of the successful business that she and her husband of 53 years built together while raising their 10 children. Maria worked tirelessly, often with many sleepless nights tending to the needs of her large family. She had many talents including a flair for cooking large, gourmet Italian meals on short notice, repairing complicated household items, and traveling to her home in Fontana Liri, Italy. At Villa Maria, she could be found entertaining, dancing and hosting many beloved friends and family. Maria enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casino, a glass of wine, singing, dancing and white roses. She was a true gift and graced all that knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed. Visitation Friday January 6th from 3-9pm with a 7:00pm Rosary. Funeral Mass will take place on January 7th Instate 9:30am at St. Kieran Catholic Church 53600 Mound Rd. (btw. 24 & 25 Mile Rds.) until time of Mass at 10:00am. Burial at Guardian Angel Cemetery, 4701 N Rochester Road, Rochester, MI.
