Juris Julijs Pruzinskis

October 24, 1956 – January 12, 2022 With deepest sadness we announce the passing of Juris on January 12th, 2022. Cherished husband of 30 years to Ilga Ejups Pruzinskis, loving father to Ina (Kyle), Evija, Nils, and Karmene, beloved son to Janis (deceased) and Dzintra, dear brother to Andris (Lisa), Silvija (Arturs), and the late Martins (September 23, 2020), proud future Opapa to Baby Hester, and loved member of a large extended family. Everyone is feeling the extensive loss of this wonderful man. Born to Latvian parents, Juris had a profound appreciation for his cultural heritage. Growing up in Northern California, he was an active member of the Latvian community in San Francisco, and took great pleasure in participating in various choral, dance and athletic groups. Later, having moved to Michigan, Juris continued to take part in Latvian events, enjoyed being part of the Latvian Brotherhood (Fraternitas Rusticana), playing volleyball in Garezers (Three Rivers, MI), and loved spending time socializing with friends and family. Juris cherished his family. He was his children’s biggest cheerleader and so proud of their various life accomplishments. Juris also loved to travel with his wife and family; visiting places like Vieques, Pictured Rocks, Latvia and many other beautiful parts of our world. Juris was a passionate Design Engineer and eventual Project Quality Leader for various automotive companies. He was a generous, kindhearted man. With his extremely outgoing personality and infectious smile, Juris brightened any room he entered. He will be truly missed for his knowledge, engineering brain, guidance, wit and humor but most of all, his compassionate nature and love.
