Joseph Jude Brinker

BRINKER, Joseph J., Age 76. April 17, 2025. Beloved husband of Margarita for nearly 45 years. Loving father of Veronica (Steven) Pakenas and the late Antonio Vasquez. Adored grandfather of Olivia and Eva. Dear brother of Mary Lou (Ed) Wolfe, the late Frank (Maggie) and the late Tom (Kathy) Brinker. Born on June 27th 1948 to Gordon & Louise in Detroit Michigan. Joseph received an Accounting degree from Walsh College and started working for Roney & Co. in Downtown Detroit in 1968 (and later Raymond James Financial after they acquired Roney & Co. in 1999). Joseph loved the detective work of resolving discrepancies in claim shares and loved working with numbers. A licensed broker, earning his series 7 & 63 licenses, he preferred working behind the scenes because he hated seeing people lose money. Joseph spent over 41 years with the company and retired in 2009. Joseph met and fell in love with the love of his life, Margarita and together raised two children, Antonio & Veronica. A man of few words but a big heart, Joseph lived a life of quiet strength and unwavering devotion. He was a man of faith and a devout catholic, never missing the Saturday mass. He was an avid sports enthusiast and spent hours with his children and grandchildren watching the Wings, Tigers and Lions. He loved his Detroit Lions and his only regret was not being here long enough to see them win a Superbowl. His two grandchildren were the apples of his eye. He always brightened when they walked into the room. He spent countless hours playing games with them, watching Jeopardy with Olivia and doing a mock NFL draft with Eva. Rest in peace beloved husband, Daddy, Papa, brother, uncle and friend. Joseph will be deeply missed by all those that loved him. Visitation Wednesday, April 23, 2025 3-8:30pm with a 7:30pm Rosary service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights. Instate Thursday, April 24, 2025 9:30am until time of 10am Mass at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd. (at Canal), Clinton Township.
