RICHARDSON, JEFFREY HARVEY Age 61 sadly passed away on January 5, 2023. Beloved husband of Judy of 40 years. Loving father of Jaclyn (Joseph) Domanski and Jessica (Michael) Kay. Proud grandfather of William, Owen and Zachary who were his pride and joy. He leaves his wonderful parents, Harvey and Margaret Richardson, and his 4 siblings, Michelle (Matthew) Saba, Steven (Renee Scharffe) Richardson, Renee (Michael) Lotito, and Andrea (Charles) VanHoorelbecke. Dearest son in law of the late Chester (the late Genevieve) Mandziara. Dear brother in law of Daniel (Sandra) Mandziara, Teri (Bruce) Price, David (Mary) Mandziara, Linda (Charles Wolford) Richardson, and Gregory (Nicole) Mandziara. He was a proud and loving uncle to 28 nieces and nephews. Jeffrey grew up in Eastpointe, MI and attended Notre Dame high school, where he was a star football player. He went on to Ferris State University to continue his football dreams, but quickly realized he wanted to be closer to home with his then girlfriend, Judy. He continued his education and received a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Lawrence Technical University and a Master's Degree in Engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy all while working full time and raising two young daughters. It was a struggle to work days and go to school at night, but much like everything else Jeffrey did, he was willing to do it for the betterment of his family. Jeffrey had many passions in life, but none were more important to him than his family. He made a point to attend each and every one of his daughters’ events. His love for his daughters never rang more true than during his “Father of the Bride” speech at Jessica’s wedding, where he poured his heart out to a standing ovation. More recently, Jeffrey’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with his grandsons, whether at Pizza Friday at Jaclyn or Jessica’s house, or through his daily (sometimes multiple times a day) Facetime calls. He was so proud of his young grandsons and cherished watching them grow up. Jeffrey was a modest and humble man, with a huge heart and tons of love left to give. He could always put a smile on everyone's face with his unique sense of humor. He battled courageously for over a year an incredible illness that would have taken a lesser man. His battle not only was a testament to his strength, but also a shining example to his family on what it means to fight for your loved ones. Visitation Monday 2-9pm with 7:00pm Rosary at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Funeral Tuesday, Instate 10:00am at St. Isaac Jogues, 21100 Madison St. (N. of 10 Mile btw. Little Mack and Harper) until time of Mass at 10:30am.
