Carol A. Ryntz

Carol A. Ryntz was born July 8, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Harry and Philomena (Rossi) Faris. Her family moved to Detroit in 1947 when her father was reunited with his long separated brothers. She graduated from St. Mary’s Redford Schools and Providence Nursing School (1963). She raised 3 boys: Michael, Paul & Dan Yandura. And experienced many facets of nursing: providing private home care, working in nursing homes & teaching medical assistants. She was a Registered Nurse and earned a BA in Health Care Administration (1986) from St. Joseph College in Standish, ME. She was a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager. She lived in the Los Angelas area from 1985 to 1988. She taught practical nursing, establish a pediatric rehab unit at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, earned a CA Nursing Home License & worked for Beverly Enterprises. When she returned home to family & friends in MI, she married Chuck Ryntz and lived happily ever after. She worked for Beaumont, Henry Ford, private companies, provided child & adult rehabilitation services and consulted 15 years regarding catastrophic brain & spinal cord traumatic injuries. She most enjoyed helping people become contributing members of society by teaching & providing rehab services. Carol is survived by her husband Chuck, sons: Michael (Connie), Paul (Donald Hitchcock), Dan (Christina), step children: Andy (Debra) & Melissa (Vicky Snyder), grandchildren: Jonathan, Cody, Mikaylia & Kriscilla Yandura, brother Christopher (Patricia) Faris of St. Joseph, MI & sister Denise (Norman) Hall of West Bloomfield, MI. and and brother-in-law Caleb Fleming and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Beverly. Visitation Tuesday 3-8pm with a 7pm Rosary at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., (Shelby) 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. Instate Wednesday from 9:30am until time of 10am Mass at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, 54045 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp. Memorial Tributes to The Alzheimer's Association of Michigan 25200 Telegraph #100, Southfield, MI. 48033 are welcome. Inurnment August 19, 2023 at 12pm at, All Saints Cemetery in Waterford.
